They are ok to listen to voice messages, or maybe some streaming talk radio, but is seriously lacking for music or games. Moreover, as mentioned, leaving the label on the bottom of the screen are not remnants of the ring, and it is very difficult to get started. It is the end of my discontent. ASUS VH198T 19-Inch Widescreen LED Monitor
Asus VH198T is easily one of the best LCD in its price range. The picture is vivid and bright, been a great help of this model has LED backlighting. For years, LCDs suffer from very poor contrast, which makes the blacks look more like charcoal gray, and while 10 million for a contrast (I guess it's "dynamic contrast") is dubious at best, the fact is that the contrast is much, much better than LCD for only one or two years ago. The screen is bright, colors are vibrant, the blacks are deep, and everything is sharp (when run with the solution will be slightly smaller than the native 1440x900 result in a blurred image, but it is typical of all LCDs). The image is simply the best I've seen in some similarly priced model.
I work in IT procurement, and we had to buy HP LCD screens, but I gave Asus a shot from the reputation they have earned through their components and netbooks, and I'm very glad I did. I have sent out nearly 200 of them in different places and I have yet to experience one with burnt or stuck pixels. I realize it's probably just luck, but some LCDs have been prone to them. I think it's safe to say that VH198T not one of them.
If there is anything to complain about (you know, for the sake of complaints, full transparency and all) so I have to point to the speakers. Most people would much rather use separate speakers or a headset with their computer, but if you plan to use the dual 1-watt speakers built into VH198T, you're probably going to want to upgrade. They are ok to listen to voice messages, or maybe some streaming talk radio, but is seriously lacking for music or games. Moreover, as mentioned, leaving the label on the bottom of the screen are not remnants of the ring, and it is very difficult to get started. It is the end of my discontent.
All in all, I can not recommend VH198T enough. I will keep buying them until it reaches the end of life.

Viewsonic VX2753MH-LED 27-Inch LED Monitor - Black
Have had this monitor for about three weeks now. Response time is the best I've ever seen, and that makes all the difference in games. My favorite feature is self-supporting bone. With a screen this big and skinny that it makes so much sense, and it looks good sitting on my desk. I had the newest Samsung 27 LED screen that was not so great, it beats it, and look better in my opinion. Thinking of buying two more for a three-way setup, but can hold out a little more 3D screens to come up with LED lights (come on people !!!).

LG IPS226V-PN 21.5-Inch Widescreen LED LCD Monitor with IPS Panel - Black
PRO:
Incredible image out of the box. I made only small changes, and switched to sRGB.
Deep black. I can rotate the panel's brightness all the way up, and the blacks are still almost as dark as the ring when all the lights are off in space.
IPS for under $ 200 Next best is almost $ 100 more.
Incredibly beautiful, most IPS panels are all business.
VESA compatible. The box has a small bag with VESA hardware to compensate for the aesthetic design / uneven skin.
Great "minimalist" touch screen control.
SUB, DVI and HDMI.
Power LED switch. Everyone should take notes on this.
Smooth slope.
CON:
LG did not appreciate the quality of their flagship panels enough to replace them without strong provisions for the "dead pixel" policy. You'd think with the quality of the panel to be selling point for the product and the product is not the entry level that would ensure the panel functionality. Unfortunately, not only I have a dead pixel very close to the center of the screen, but LG quoted the same policy, they would be if I had bought a sub $ 100 linear system panel. I waited a long time to replace my Hitachi super scan 751, and felt that the LG was the way to go. Very disappointed in the LG service, despite my love for the end result, because Amazon is not only merciful, for compensation, stormed the replacement out long before I expected to see it. Thanks Amazon, to pick up the pieces that LG dropped.
ViewSonic VA1931WA 19-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor
I've owned this monitor for almost a month and it is a great value for the price (around $ 100). My OS is Windows Vista 64-bit, started a breeze!
The picture quality is excellent, although I watch a DVD on my laptop, instant watching via Netflix or TV shows via Hulu. Highly Recommended! Good buy!

Samsung BX2231 21.5-Inch Widescreen LED-Backlit LCD Monitor (Black)
Advantages:
Bright, good color quality. Fine, sharp image. Decent black. Many menu items. Three video inputs. No dead pixels. Bottom-mounted touch control is easier (for me) than the front. Sleek, cool running and easy. No ghosting. Decent viewing angles for a non-PVA panel.
Cons:
A little light bleed at the edges. So sad (to me) until I adjusted some settings in the menu. Less than you might think, if you're used to bigger screens, 04:03. To have a power source instead of a straight plug in is so tough. Only 1920:1080, 1920:1200 no.
Others:
I got this screen, especially since it was the least I could see from Samsung, which had completed 1920:1080 resolution (I would have a 1920 x 1200, but apparently Samsung does not matter anymore). I wanted a fine dot pitch and I got it. The text and images are sharp and clear. The size is smaller than I expected, but I got used to it. Text is much clearer than the larger screens, I consider it a bargain.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of color compared to my old screens. I do not know if it's LED-backlit or not, but it looks good. Black levels are pretty good too. I had to change the "HDMI Black Level" setting mode from "normal" to "low" to get a decent picture, however. No shadows in my game either.
Finally, the real viewing angles approaching specifications, still not as good as my Samsung PVA, but still much better than I used-to-be-top-of-the-line without PVA Samsung. The "magic angle" but is apparently just a software option and not a machine technology. However, viewing angles are still good.
All in all, this is a quality monitor at a good price. I was especially impressed with the menu options. If you can live with a smaller screen, this should please you. Although ostensibly a beginner's screen is slightly better than all my old semi-high end ones and it was much cheaper too. I highly recommend this, given the price.
